Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Photography is a wonderful new paintbrush in my old artist's toolbox. All my life I've been drawing and painting and arranging objects without really knowing why. I just knew it was something I had to do. My way of expressing my world to others perhaps. As for my trusty camera, it was just something I carried along to record family history. Then, one day not too long ago, I picked up my Canon on a whim and started recording the beautiful world all around me...looking for patterns and colors and slices of light...and found joy! When I discovered that my work could actually bring joy to someone else, the feeling was unbelievable. My Lumix comes along for the ride these days, too. ...
